"Answer Users of runmqsc on Linux may be interested in the free third-party utility "with-readline" written by Richard Kettlewell, which can be located using a Web search. Once installed, it is used by typing
- with-readline runmqsc
and may be followed with the normal arguments for runmqsc if required. readline facilities (such as editing lines in-place and recalling previous commands with the up cursor key) are then available in runmqsc.
The line
- alias runmqsc="with-readline runmqsc"
may be added to a profile file such as ~/.bashrc to use this functionality by default in all subsequent sessions. "
